Happy holidays!

Hey peeps! Here we are again, my favorite day of the week. I find that during the week, I often feel like “hijacking” the blog days of my fellow ladies. You see, sometimes something fun will happen on a Monday and then I’ll have to wait till Thursday to blog about it. So this week I thought I’d try something different. I’ve decided to do daily mini-blogs and then just throw everything together. I’m just going to take my favorite event from each day and discuss. And so, here I go!

On Monday, I got a wonderful surprise visit from my pal Bronson, who came all the way from South Carolina. It was wonderful to catch up with him for a few hours and I’m honored that I was his first stop in Pennsylvania. It truly made my day!

On Tuesday, I got to spend some time with my friend Megan from Washington DC. It was also lovely to catch up with her. I don’t get to see her enough!

On Wednesday, I had lunch with more friends and I got to meet the most perfect little angel baby, Violet. I fell in love instantly. There’s just something about a sleeping baby that melts my heart. I wanted to keep her! 🙂

After lunch, I decided that I deserved some pampering, so I scheduled an impromptu massage and pedicure. It was amazing! I wish I could do it daily!

Also on Wednesday, I had a great night with my girlfriends. Nothing like sitting around a table while eating cookies, drinking, talking…. and knitting! A stitch and bitch, if you will. It was so much fun and I can’t wait to do it again!

Tonight (actually, right this very moment) I’m at Canal Street with my friends Ricky and Patrick. The place is packed and there’s an amazing DJ here. I’m seriously digging the noise!

So there you have it. The highlights of my week. Did anyone notice a pattern? The highlights of my week all revolve around my friends! I love my friends dearly. They may not always know it and I may not always show it, but I’m putting it out there now. My friends flippin rock!

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend. See you next Thursday! Happy Holidays everyone! 🙂

Reality tv? Really?

I have a confession. I’m addicted to reality tv. It’s almost midnight, and here I sit, glued to the tv, watching a tiny puppy named Chanel poop on the floor. Isn’t that sick?! I rarely ever watch tv, but the few shows I do watch are evidently real glimpses into people’s lives. It’s sort of creepy if you think about it. The cameras follow these people everywhere. To work, to the bathroom and even in the boudoir. Eww! So why can’t I stop watching? Because I’m nosy! I want to know how the “other half” lives! Not just that, but these shows are funny! Some of the funniest moments happen when these people are just being candid. It makes me wonder what life would be like with cameras following me everywhere. My world is funny. It just is. So many funny things happen around me daily and I often wish I could have somehow documented it. But to have an entire film crew with me all the time? I shudder to think! While it would be great to have all the fun moments captured, they would also capture the bad and embarrassing moments, too. Not cool. So I think I’ll leave it to the “professionals”. And now I shall return to my program, where a 50ish year old British woman is gyrating on the lap of a Chippendale, or as she called him… a Chipmunk. Ha! See you next Thursday! 🙂

Backstage ramblings

Y’all… I’m about to complain. I’m at Genesius, in the middle of a performance of The Sound of Music, and I’m FREEZING. I know it’s December, but I’m still so unready for this kind of weather. Brrrr!!

I’m knitting a blanket. One day I saw Christina knitting one and it looked like a lot of fun, so I left rehearsal, went to Michael’s and bought stuff to make a blanket. Yes, I actually left rehearsal! I know, I’m dreadful. But it was so worth it because I’m having a lot of fun knitting this. I can’t wait till it’s done!

Christina and I went to Malibooz for dinner tonight. I got the seafood fondue. SINFUL!!! So delicious and SO unhealthy. Tomorrow I start my diet. From now on, nothing but vodka! Ha! 😛

That’s enough out of me. I hope everyone has an amazing weekend. See you next Thursday! 🙂

Getting an early start on things!

Good morning everyone! For once, I decided to get blogging bright and early instead of waiting for my reminder! Ha! It’s a lazy (for now) Thursday morning and I’m at my friends house, puppy sitting. It’s so quiet here, very unlike my own home, where my upstairs neighbor and his huge dog march around all day, every day. I should enjoy it while I can, because today is the last day that I’ll be here. It’s always fun to be here, but I’m definitely looking forward to being home with my own little fur baby. I miss him so much when I go away!

Today is a big day. It’s the last Sound of Music rehearsal before opening night. It’s been a lot of fun watching the show come together over the past few months. I think it’s come along nicely! If you’re looking for something to do this weekend and next, consider coming to see The Sound of Music at Genesius Theatre. It’ll be a fun time and the Von Trapp kids are seriously adorable! 🙂

Time for me to finish my laundry and start making some Genesius medals for the show. I hope everyone has an amazing day and I also hope to see lots of familiar faces at the show this weekend. Support local theatre!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy turkey day everyone! I just got back from Lancaster and I am so full! All day long, I’ve been thinking about all the things that I’m thankful for. Friends, family, Rizzo, etc… and then I realized that I’m ALWAYS thankful for all those things. I’m incredibly lucky to have all the people that are in my life. I hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday! Happy Thanksgiving! 🙂

Where’s my hot chocolate?!

Happy Thursday everyone! Sorry so late. I was in the middle of a brawl with my cat. Anyone who has ever met my cat knows exactly what I’m talking about. He jumps, he chews, he knocks things over… what a menace! So we fight. A lot. But I wouldn’t have him any other way. I love my little Pumpkinhead. 🙂

While I was fighting with Rizzo, my friend/neighbor brought over the best pork chops I’ve ever tasted. I’m so fortunate that I live very close to two good friends that love to feed me. I rarely have to cook. It’s wonderful! Lucky me!

I got a few cortisone shots in my hands today. Owwwww! Fire!!! I have my ice packs on, so hopefully the burning stops soon. Stupid shots. >;/

Brrrr! When did it get so cold AGAIN?! I’m not ready for this AGAIN! Where’s my beautiful fall weather?! I wish pumpkin season could last forever. Sigh…

Well, that’s all for now. I have a house full of people, so I’ll sign off now. I hope everyone has a good week. See you next Thursday!

I got the rainy day blues

Oh hey Thursday! I’ve been waiting ALL WEEK for you! It’s been quite an eventful week for me. My dear friend Matthew from Oregon has been in town and I couldn’t be happier. Rizzo and I missed him terribly! It’s been awesome getting to spend so much time with him again. It’s like he never left! I’ll be so sad when it’s time for him to go back home, but for now, I’ll just enjoy the time that’s left. 🙂

If you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend, go see The House of Yes at Reading Community Players, which opens this Friday. My friend Ray Rhoads is the director and I also have several friends in the cast. It’s sure to be a hit, but please leave the kiddies at home for this one. It’s a little twisted! I’m going on Saturday night, so I hope to see lots of faces in the audience. Support local theatre!!

On another note, I just started drinking shots of wheatgrass juice in the morning. Not pleasant, but they say it’s beneficial, so I’ll keep choking it down. I’m skeptical, but optimistic. We shall see!

I’ve been pretty quiet this week, so I have a ton to say. I could seriously go on and on, but I’ll end it here. I hope everyone is having as good of a week as I am. Adieu for now!! <3

Hi Peeps!

One snowy October morning, five fabulous ladies (and one equally fabulous man!) met over breakfast and magic was born! I’m so excited to be working on this show with everyone! We all have so much to say about EVERYTHING! If our first meeting was any indication of what’s to come, you all better hang on to your hats because we are gonna blow you away! Stay tuned!! 🙂
