Autumnal Bliss!

Well, my dears! We find ourselves at my favorite time of year. Ah, the comforting chill of Autumn. Yes, Jane loves the knife’s edge in the air, the chance to wear woolly sweaters, the wafting scent of burning things. Well, of course, I do live in Reading, PA, so the air always seems to be redolent of burning things, but somehow, at this time of year, it seems more comforting than distressing.

We must now begin thinking of our annual Holiday card. I know, I know…I am aware that I am being awfully PC with this appellation, but when one has so many friends from so many backgrounds and ethnicities…Well, the table must simply be laid for everyone!

And so, I don my craft cap, which aids my creative process, and also keeps my ears warm. Yes, Jane does enjoy her home on the less temperate side; “pile on the warm cozies!”, is what I say.

So now I’ll go fire up my creative energies. Whilst I’m at that, take a moment for yourselves and enjoy the season: take a walk, sniff the air, and marvel at the glorious majesty of nature all dressed up for her Autumnal Ball.

Until next time, darlings.

Love, Jane

An Awful Lot to Say

Learning how to make butter for better cookies, trading pet stories and peeves, comparing impressions of the mayor’s race in Reading, drooling over favorite eateries, getting to know four exuberant BC women–there was a lot to be said on a Saturday morning during an October nor’easter. More to come, much more!

Snow in October!

Incredible weather! No one around here has ever experienced anything like this in October! And no one’s ever going to have experienced a gathering of five fabulous females like those of us chatting on “That’s What SHE Said!” We met for the first time on Saturday – the day the snow arrived! There’s something serendipitous about that! Looking forward to all we can chat about! And after we get that tree moved that’s blocking our front door, I’ll actually be able to get out in the world again!. Hope Christina, Ellen, Sheila, Jane all got home safely – and that their front doors are more accessible than mine! But the power’s on, and we’re warm and cozy! Blessings abound! (If we don’t get that tree moved, the Treat or Treaters won’t be able to get that ton of candy I bought yesterday. That, however, is not going to be a blessing as my sweet tooth has been luring me away from my Weight Watchers healthy eating lifestyle for the past few weeks! That candy has GOT to go – one way or another, but not via my mouth!)
Happy Halloween!

Hi Peeps!

One snowy October morning, five fabulous ladies (and one equally fabulous man!) met over breakfast and magic was born! I’m so excited to be working on this show with everyone! We all have so much to say about EVERYTHING! If our first meeting was any indication of what’s to come, you all better hang on to your hats because we are gonna blow you away! Stay tuned!! 🙂

Exciting prep for the Gabfest!

Hello, darlings! I attended a pre-production meeting with my fellow (or is the “fellette”?) ladies, and the room never fell silent. Too bad we weren’t in-studio, as they say, for that meeting; it would have made for a wonderful, if far reaching, show!

All I have to say is: Look out, Reading, five intelligent, opinionated, and may I say, beautiful ladies across the generations, are heading your way. Get ready, Reading, here we come!

Love, Jane
